Tomorrow is Culture Day, a national holiday, and central Osaka lines up two ways to spend it. From 10:00 to 21:00, twelve danjiri festival floats from cities across Osaka prefecture gather at Namba Hiroba, the plaza above Namba Station, for Danjiri in Namba 2026 – the floats, their music and their dancers, without leaving the city center.
After dark the show spreads north. The Midosuji Illumination switches on from around 17:00, lighting the boulevard between the Hanshin-mae crossing by Umeda and the Namba-Nishiguchi crossing. It runs 59 days, through December 31, with lights until 25:00, as the core of this year's Osaka Hikari no Kyoen light program (November 3 to January 31). The Nakanoshima leg, Osaka Hikari Renaissance, follows December 11-25.
The illumination is a public street display, free to see; the danjiri event's organizer lists no admission fee on its page. The two pair into one holiday circuit: floats by day, lights after sunset.

明日11月3日は文化の日。大阪の中心部では2つの見どころが重なります。まず「地車 in なんば 2026」。府下各都市から招かれた12台の地車が、なんば駅直上のなんば広場に10時から21時まで集結します。市内中心部で、地車と音曲、踊りを間近に見られる機会です。
日没後は御堂筋へ。御堂筋イルミネーション2026が17時頃に点灯を開始します。区間は梅田の阪神前交差点から難波西口交差点までで、12月31日までの59日間、25時まで点灯。11月3日から1月31日までの「大阪・光の饗宴2026」のコアプログラムで、中之島の「OSAKA光のルネサンス2026」は12月11日から25日まで続きます。
イルミネーションは路上の展示で無料。地車イベントの主催者ページにも入場料の記載はありません。昼に地車、夕方に光の並木道と、祝日の一日に組み合わせられます。
